CAN I HAS CHEAPER HEALTH INSURANCE??

Anyone know anything about that NY law that was signed back in July, and took effect September 1st?

From what I gather, NY state has passed into law that young adults can still be covered by their parents' insurance if they are unmarried, not eligible for insurance from their work, and are under the age of 29.

And if my workplace ACTUALLY HIRED ME instead of still paying an OBSCENE amount to the temp agency I am still technically working for, it sounds like I may be qualified. And I'm certain that there are NY peeps of mine that would qualify as well.

But yea--ZOMG HEALTH INSURANCE!?!? FOR LESS THAN WHAT I'M PAYING NOW OUT OF POCKET????

Why wouldn't you be qualified as an employee of the temp agency? These things make no sense to me.

I think I could get partial coverage from my temp agency...but it's not the best. I'd rather be under my parents. But I think you qualify if you aren't offered full coverage. or something. I need to delve further.
