There's a lot of SUPER IMPORTANT MEET UP INFORMATION BELOW THE CUT, so heads up, pay attention, read the fine print, etc etc.

The TOS Marathon will be SATURDAY, JULY 11 at my apartment in Middle Village, Queens (exact address will come in the PM I will send you once you RSVP in the comments)

It will start at 1 pm, and will end…well, whenever we want, really!


We'll be viewing the Top Ten Episodes you guys voted for in the poll, and in reverse order of demand (that way, those that come late and who likely voted for one of the more popular ones won't miss them! YEA YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN AWE OF MY LOGIC.)

Now, if any of you wanted to be, I donno, uber-dorky and wear something color appropriate for your team, well, don't let ME stop you. ;)


FOOD/DRINK THAT NEEDS CLAIMING/COULD BE BROUGHT:
-Blue curacao (can't make Romulan ale without it! NEED THIS DESPERATELY!))
-Something besides whisky (good lord, people, it's like, the one alcohol I generally don't like)
-Mixers (aka orange juice, fruit juices, seltzer, etc)
-Plastic cups/plates/napkins (I have some cups and napkins, but I don't think enough)
-marshmallows/rice krispies (the ones with the badge inside!) for in-meet up treat making?
-Salsa
-Dip-like things for veggies? Hummus anyone?
-any other suggestions?


2) For Aforementioned TOS Drinking Game:
I've a growing list of things to drink to, but if there is anything that you feel must ABSOLUTELY BE INCLUDED, make mention of it in the RSVP (i.e., Spock says "Fascinating", Kirk swaggers while standing still, McCoy hyposprays, Uhura is fierce, etc etc)


3)Mention if you will be able to bring alcohol/mixers, and what you can bring:
There are two Star Trek mixed drinks I think we should try to make: Romulan Ale, and Phasers-to-Stun Punch. These are going to require the following--

Romulan Ale: white rum, Blue Curacao, Sprite (or 7-Up), tabasco sauce (though I've seen with lemon juice instead)
Phasers on Stun Punch: whisky, grapefruit juice, blue curacao, peach liqueur, lemon juice

If you are able to bring ANY of the above ingredients, DO CLAIM THEM IN YOUR RSVP. Of course, if you'd care to bring ANY other wine/liquor/beer, PLZ, DON'T LET ME STOP YOU XD. I myself am thinking of picking up a 24 pack of something, cause there's NOT WAY IN HELL I'm playing a drinking game on liquor. NO WAY.

Also, I'll have a tub filled with ice, so anything what needs chilling can go right in it.


4) List if you will be able to bring snacks/soda/mixers:
Cause GQMFers cannot live on drink alone, much though we try. Oh, do we try. If there is anything you can bring, please do! Sodas, sweet snacks, salty snacks, dips, carrots/celery for all I care! I myself will be making my world famous veggie baked beans/cream cheese/cheddar dip of AMAZING. Just give me a heads up in your RSVP about what you think you can bring.

ALSO, there is a grocery store right around the corner, not totally unreasonable in pricing, so if you'd rather not lug stuff, we could have a grocer run.

If you can't do numbers 3 or 4, would you be willing to donate some money at the door to cover some of the food/drink costs? Alcohol/food is expensive, yo, help a poor fangirl out!

ALSO, I was thinking that around 6-7 pm, we could order pizza (or something equally simple and easy to share) for dinner. Y/N??

1) FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I got a REDSHIRT. >:( But my #2 answer was Uhura? :D? :D? Please don't send me off the ship to die, Captain.

2) I think there should be DOUBLE drinks for any time McCoy hyposprays someone without prior consent. Amok Time, I am looking at you.

3&4) I am not sure yet how much I will be lugging up to Queens, but I was thinking I might mix up a happy virgin punch thing for myself and any other teetotalers, and also make some kind of delicious snack. Possibly these will be cookies but I am really not sure yet!

Hai! (obv) I cant go this weekend. But I'm chiming in to show how much I would LOVE IT DEARLY if you had one of these in Aug when I go there. I mean I cant legally drink and I probably wouldn't spend a whole day there (Cus it's freaking NYC and I'll probably only be there a day or two before I go off ot SPAIN) but I want to do something nearly as awesome (if you condone underage drinking you might get a gigglier pasty. Count me in! I'm also going to bring a friend who doesn't have an lj but is a casual reader of ontd_startrek and totally obsessed with the new Trek like the rest of us. We both got Deanna Troi (after that the next highest was Chekov) and we'll bring some cash to chip in for some noms.

Also, I'm probably going to make cupcakes (or some kind of sweetness that'll be appropriately themed in Trek colors) so I hope that's ok! And yeah, we're really excited :D

Okay, I'm bringing a delicious cake... you know what it'll be... I'm not going to spoil it for the group, BUT what flavor? Chocolate, vanilla, something exotic? It will be decorated fabulously, and I will take a lot of time on it... (most of the decorating you see on Baking Posts is really rushed) A good, simply designed cake takes a few hours to decorate.
