I had rather lost tract of the days, and nearly missed the kick off of
The First Annual,
Super-Spectacular,
and Semi-Festivical
12 Songs for Christmas!!!!!
*Tosses Appropriately Colored Confetti*
Starting today (the 12th) and ending the 23rd, I will be posting one Christmasy-type song a day, which gives us a grand total of 12 songs in 12 days--a nice, round, festive number, agreed?
Now, now, I can hear your protests as I type this: 'But Nella,' you cry, 'If I hear one more Christmasy type song I may have to cap a bitch, which you will agree, is not at all in the Christmas spirit.' Well, I do agree, and wholeheartedly. But I have tried to choose wisely from the selection of Christmas songs that I not only can still stomach during the Christmas season, but sometimes get a hankering for during the rest of the year.
...which means I probably should have choosen this first song with a little more care, and picked something less common. But I do so love:
1) The Carol of the Bells
Nothing gets me into the evil, plotting, Christmasy spirit than this song. This song grabs me by the ear, pulls me to my feet, and says, "GO! GO FORTH AND PLOT SOMETHING DELICIOUSLY EVIL!" The only downside: it is far too short, and gets stuck in my head something FIERCE.
One song down, eleven more to go!
