Well, took my Anthro of Language exam...I am boggled by Kulick's belief that one can write 10 definitions and 3 essays in one hour and 15 minutes have have them be of any sort of WORTH. Needless to say, I won't be doing so well because regardless of the fact I was writing like a madwoman, I didn't really finish. Oh I answered all the questions, it was just by the last essay, it wasn't so much an essay as one page of unorganized factoids.

*sigh*

I've been tagged by [livejournal.com profile] lunar_wolf! CURSES!!

Once you are tagged you MUST write a blog about your 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next six people to be tagged and list their names.

hrum....

1) I highly dislike eating in a movie theater. Highly. Drinking I am all for, especially if it's movie beer. But the whole popcorn/candy/meals thing? Unless I'm hungry or it's God's Own Cheese (you know the one, [livejournal.com profile] singealiene), I pass.

2) When I go home on the weekends, I watch "Bonanza" with my mother. Some times, my grandmother is there to watch it with us. Which is funny, cause she fangirl's Little Joe, and I fangirl Hoss. In fact, the three of us fangirl it all. Which when I think too hard on it, weirds me out.

...nothing like an old school western to bridge the age and language gap.

3) And before "Bonanza", old school Star Trek was the gap bridger. Damn, that feels like cheating though...er...oh! I've been accused of sounding like I'm reading from a script while talking to people. That's right...Nella talks like she's scripted.

4) I suck fandoms dry in a fast gluttony of fan art/fic/discussions, but once everything is exhausted, I move on til I find my new fandom to suck dry. Although, I do still check up on my old fandoms--I'm just no longer a rabid fangirl about it. I don't particularly LIKE it when that day comes, but I suppose it makes dealing with me a sight more tolerable.

5) I have never tried writing a slash fic, or a smut one. I dare not. I dream, but dare not.

6) I am an icey confectioneries FIEND. I have seasonal preferences and everything--ice creams in the winter, slurpees/icees/italian ices in the summer.

And now, I sentence the following to do the same!: [livejournal.com profile] always_dragon,
[livejournal.com profile] toddpage, [livejournal.com profile] singealiene, [livejournal.com profile] eliblues, [livejournal.com profile] neo_ninja and [livejournal.com profile] anpandaisfearr.
Call it a fit of inspiration. Call it a desperate attempt to not think about the media 10 pager due tomorrow. But at one of the Jeeves and Wooster lj comms, someone wrote up some corkingly funny lyrics, entitled "Any Time is Slash Time". Some one else has already put the words into song, but my brain's just hummed up a different tune, a mostly Al Jolson feeling I think, with a 1940ish show tunes touch, and the "Bum Dum Dum"'s transitions stolen from Cole Porter's "Friendship" song.

I desperately wish 7th street dorm had a piano like Brittany had. I REALLY want to figure the noting out for it.

I suppose I'll record myself singing it on my cellphone, just so I don't forget it.

Leave it to the pain and misery of finals to make me long to take up the piano again.

EDIT: Wah-HA! I've recorded the bally thing, so's I won't forget it, like it is my want to do. However, for the oddest reason, the first half i recorded makes my phone restart once it finishes playing....

Oh well.

EDIT ON A PLANE: OMG!!! I just looked at my syllabus, and my paper due tomorrow isn't a 10-12 pager...

IT'S A 7-10 PAGER!!!

NELLA WINS!!!!!!!!! NELLA VINCE!!!

EDIT ON A SNAKE ON A PLANE: [livejournal.com profile] anpandaisfearr linked this on his lj. Wyatt, watch this NOW.
I have only this too say. I really, REALLY wish this was a real game I could play.
