Another Day, Another Dollar...
Sep. 12th, 2004 07:00 pmOr, I have returned to the hallowed streets of olde New York, returned to continue my academic career in the attempts of learning something that will actually help me further down the road of life. And do you know what that means kiddies?
I HAVE FINALLY GUILT TRIPPED MY WAY BACK INTO THE LIVEJOURNAL POSTING SCENE!
That's right Ladies and Gents, 'Nella's back, and posting!
...And this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact than Tammy came over this weekend and while we had a swinging time I am now so backed up homework wise I haven't a clue as to how I'm going to get through this night my GOD that's a lot of Italian still to do and there's still all of that reading--
*DEEP BREATH*
I've already busted out onto the respective Newman and Students for Life scene--supposedly, I'm a very attractive individual who knows her pro-life stuff cause 44 people signed up for Students for Life at the Club Fair while I was standing at the table. Even if only a quarter of them come, that's still 11 new people, compared to the dismal 4 that remain from last year. And the VP of the Islamic center came over to our table saying since her group is *doh!* pro-life, we should co-sponsor an event. After she left Jenni and I had a moment of "STUPID! Why did we never court the Islamic center before! DUH of COURSE they would be pro-life!"
This year looks like it's shaping up to be an interesting one to say the least. I've signed up for more clubs than I can shake my fist at, including the Anime Club and the Milk and Cookies Club (don't ask...I couldn't resist.) I'm really really REALLY excited about my Human Evolution class, and it appears that Physical Anthropology is going to be the concentration for me.
Now for something completely different:
I've word from my inside sources that there is a "EMMA" of sorts within the Newman Club that has her eye set on matchmaking me with some fellow, and because I feel that this will be my only chance to throughly THWART Jane Austen and SERVE her like she most assuredly deserves to get served, I await her move with gleeful malice.
*Evil Chortle*
Well, my lieblings, I fear that I've become rather rusty in regard to writing witty/humorous/vaguely interesting posts, but fear not! I shall fix THAT as I shake the solemn respite of summer from my mind and allow the words to flow free again. After all, my best livejournaling was always done when I was desperately trying to avoid the inevitable--
And I have homework to do once again.
