I have high, HIGH hopes for this game. Amazing graphics aside, I YEARN for controlled camera angles--I would think it would get rid of a lot of really killer stress and bullet wasting. And, the thought of fighting "zombies" (cause the website says they aren't QUITE zombies cause they are somewhat human in the sense that they climb shit and dodge bullets and talk to each other in an attempt to get you...which SUCKS.) in BROAD FUCKING DAYLIGHT boggles my mind. I used to be safe in the daylight! SAFE I TELL YOU!! AND...I've been DYING for more Leon Kennedy action since I played Resident Evil 2 with my cousin WAY back in that day.

NOTE: I just watched the 6 minute "Game time" download....WYATT...this is going to be the MOST STRESSFUL, FRIGHTENING, GENERALLY FRUSTRATING game EVER. The zombies!! The come SO FAST!! They carry BIGsythes and KNIVES and they climbladdersandwieldCHAINSAWS

*cries*

Wyatt, this game is going to be a bitch, i just know it.

Wyatt came down from New Paltz this weekend, to join me in partaking in a weekend of gaming and general good timing. He came to Newman and Nibs with me on Thursday, and on Friday we journeyed to the Javits Center on 11th ave. and 34 st. to experience "Digital-life", this technology convention type thingie. I wasn't disappointed, for I played about 2 hours of this one game names "Fable" while there....
*drool* Fable....A most AMAZING game that I will probably never play again cause it's a X-boxer.

DAMN YOU MICROSOFT!!!

A friend of Wyatt's by the name of Howard won a Tivo (the lucky bitch) in a "Godzilla saves the Earth!" Competition. I tried to win it, but there were so many Godzilla's on the screen that I kept losing mine!

Also, I tried out "The Bard's Tale", another really, really cool game. The Bard is voice acted by the Dread Pirate Roberts, aka Welsey from The Princess Bride, and the game had far too much fun poking fun at RPG's. Once again, another game I could easily get addicted too.

On top of that, they were showing the two seasons of "Red vs. Blue", this series that this dudes from Texas (I think Texas) created by using screen shots from the game "Halo". This is my command onto you all...get your hands on this series. WATCH them. AND LAUGH. THEY ARE GOLD, PURE FUN GOLD.

You will not be disappointed.

On Saturday, we met up with Michelle at the Museum of Natural History, and generally romped about as I drooled over Human Evolution and peoples of the Northwest/South Pacific. Michelle made some snarky comments when I began explaining to one little girl that the early hominids in one of the exhibits in the human evolution hall WEREN'T walking in snow, they were REALLY walking in volcanic ash because the ash preserved their footprints and that's how we know they were walking about that area of Africa so many years ago...

At least the girl's father appreciated what I was saying. And maybe I SHOULD just give the tour, Michelle. *glare, then wink*

After I sated my thirst of anthropological type things, we then ran up to the dinosaur floor and tried to find the dinosaur Wyatt's father discovered with no success. Alas. It's probably in the Field Museum in Chicago.

Well, by then we were weary and hungry, so we traveled back down town to eat and Zen. And as I was paused in the corridor between the 1239 and the NRQW, who should walk up behind me and shock the bejeezes out of my but IAN!!! IAN BATESON, OF ALL PEOPLE!!! It's FRIGHTENING how small the city seems sometimes.

Well, he joined us, and had dinner with us, and a grand time was had by all by Michelle, who as it turns out has a stomach that doesn't agree with Pan-Asian vegetarian cuisine. Alas. And there we parted ways with Ian and we continued on to Veniero's and then parted ways with Michelle, which brings us back to just Wyatt and me. That's when we returned to the dorm and beat Resident Evil and I went to bed early and got lots and lots of beautiful sleep.

So, all in all, it was a MOST excellent weekend.

And now that I've completed my obligatory Live Journal post, now's the time I do all of that loverly homework I've been to busy to otherwise do.

G'night!!
