Nanowrimo has begun, and I'm already uber behind. Like, 3371 words in when I should be at 6668. But now that my midterms are out of the way I can finally honker down and get some writing done. Nibs is in a bit of a hiatus due to general lack of interest, but considering that I'm still far too excited about it and entrenched in the idea of it working, don't expect it to die anytime soon. On that note...anyone interested in joining a small, friendly writing group in the lower manhattan area? It's better than moving to Canada in protest, I promise!

Oh yea, on that note...thank you to my generation for making the "Rock the Vote" so deliciously and bitterly ironic. 17% two elections in a row? My hats off to you! Vote or Die my ass...

What other news...hrum...God enjoys fucking with my mind when it comes to laws of attraction. He likes teasing me with minor coincidences and with no way of seeing the damn man again without coming off as creepily stalkerish and clingy. I'm with Lindsay on this, damn you women's liberation! Having to persue the man...We socially awkward spit on you, spit on you I say!!!

Lindsay and I need to do things a la Jane Austen. For all of my displeasure over her writing, at least in her world every girl gets the guy without having to try TOO hard. Even if you fuck up, those menfolk will STILL come back in the end, even if you completely insult them to their faces!

Well, it's off to lunch with Jenni and Brian, so I leave you with this nano thought I wrote last night:

"I have so much to do, but I have no time!" Lucy cried as she stared at her hands in despair. "No time to write or read or live or love. Just time to sink below the mire."
"...You have time for eloquence," Cecilia said, not bothering to look up from her stand. "So stop speaking and use the time you gain wisely."

That statistic might be misleading--more people registered and voted for this election, so if the same amount of young people voted as last time, the percentage would be lower. Unless it's been adjusted to acknowledge that, more young people voted this time around.
