ink_n_impFirst player of this "game" starts with the topic of "Five Guilty Pleasures" & tags five others who must write an lj entry about their five guilty pleasures as well as state this rule. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged & list their names.
Antonella'sCatholic Guilty Pleasures:
1) HOUSE M.D. OH. MY. GOD. I bow before the feet of Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard, they have made my life complete as only two amazingly written characters played by two amazing actors can. There IS going to be A Hugh/Robert night, since the two of them seem to pull the same trick as a lot of actors I adore, mainly, that they are in a LOT of movies and the like, but they are either low key and go unnoticed, or are just in BAD movies. For example, Robert Sean Leonard was in Swing Kids, playing the main character of Peter. OMG. HE PLAYED PETER. He was also in Dead Poets' Society. Hugh has the opposite affect, he's been in all THREE of the Stuart Little movies and played Jasper in the live version of 101 Dalmatians, which makes me go "WHY HUGH, WHY?!?!?!"...but then again, the image of him stealing puppies for an evil fashionista makes me squee with glee.
So...who's up for the Hugh/Robert night????
2) Horribly painful fan fiction that makes the baby Jesus not only cry, but look forward to Crucifixion. The longer, the better. Found a 50+ chapter fic about the Phantom of the Opera falling in tru wuv with a OC? Send it my way! Have a 30+ chapter graphic smut fic about Hades, Lord of the Underworld, and I mean disney style? I'll have read that puppy in a single, brain killing, coma inducing, suicide watching night. Same goes to fan ART. I was the stupid git who, in my overwhelming desire to KNOW, clicked the link to the Hobbit porn back in High school. I have never been the same since. Which leads to my THIRD guilty pleasure:
3) Pain. What can I say? Between some certain social obligations, the internet, and PEOPLE, I must really like pain. I lot. I seem to revel in it, the more painful the more my soul sings out in pleasure. I get off on my own Schadenfreude.
4) Anime. Here in NYC, I seem to be the only one of my friends to love the Anime, and not just Miyazaki. Nothing quite like meeting up with Wyatt either back on LI or up at New Paltz for Anime Marathons.
5) I-CON, the Sci-Fi Fantasy convention held 15 minutes away from my house. The cosplaying, the geeks, the overwhelming fangirling, I LOVE IT!!!!! Hell, even the furries I look at with a sense that there's balance in the universe. So, who's going to be at ICON this year? Ron Glass from Firefly/Serenity, the Beastmaster, George Takei AKA SULU from Star Trek!, Elvira, and Vic Mignogna (the voice actor of Ed from FMA!!!!), just to name a few!!!!!!!!! OMG IT'S GOING TO KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO COME!!!!!
