Annual NP POST!!!

I suppose my annual New Paltz post boils down too how tonight, Wyatt, Shanti, Brie and I threw on the semblances of jackets and whatnot so that we could run outside to catch what seemed to be an impromptu fireworks show that could be seen from the front of Wyatt's Dorm. We were lulled into thinking the rythmic thumping noises were someone hitting a wall or moving furniture, until Wyatt noticed the colored flashs reflecting off the dorm across the way. Craning our necks against the window pane, we could catch a glimpse of the fireworks, and in a burst of glee we all threw on some protection from the OOMGFUCKINGFREEZINGCOLD and ran down the stairs and outside, with time for the fireworks finale. It was surreal and something you want to hug the person next to you after for.

Between binging on food and Ben and Jerry's and D&D and anime (it's a weekend at New Paltz, what else is new?!) and watching a production of NP'ers preforming Muppet songs and scenes, (which was shockingly hilarious and squee-worthy, especially the dudes that played Gonzo and Sam the Eagle, and Statler and Wardorlf, who sat in the front of the audience, heckling away...JOY), it was worth it, coming up for the weekend and hanging out with all these familiar faces. I love how open and friendly his friends are, they all really make the time up here a blast.

Tomorrow looks like a day of Firefly and Resident Evil 4--if all goes according to plan, Wyatt and Shanti will be completely indoctrinated in the ways of the 'Verse. *evil grin*

P.S. Wyatt's roommate has the teaser for Kingdom Hearts 3. All I have to say is LINDSAYITSWTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jenni and I are watching Firefly even now. It is boss, real boss. It makes me a bit wistful whenever the themesong comes on, though, knowing that the show was cancelled.

It's a Firefly kinda weekend i see...im about to go to my friend's house and continue watching it - first time viewing of the series for all of us involved. what a freakin awesome show. and the girl who plays kalee (love her) was on this disney show called Flash Forward i used to watch, and also on Are You Afraid of the Dark (the episide called "Watcher's Woods" for any other AYAOTD fans out there)...i love her to death.

Yeah, actually the girl from Firefly was the one with rainbow hair. She had this imaginary friend that she always insisted was real, and then they had the two switch galaxies eventually when she had to go be on Flash Forward.

how cool is that...i actually remember that plot a bit now u bring it up. our firefly girl never wore the rainbow hair herself tho, did she? i have this image of another girl wearing it, of darker complexion...but i could be mistaken. i wish there were a way to go back and watch that, it was a fun show.
