And life goes on.

Archaeologist Tired Of Unearthing Unspeakable Ancient Evils
"Making matters worse, such encounters have had little to no scientific value.
"It's always, 'I will drink your soul' or 'I will chew the flesh from your bones' with these hellish apparitions," Whitson said. "When I ask them if that means the ancient Etruscans did, in fact, add copper to their mixing clay to make their urns more sturdy, they don't even seem to hear me."

And, an icon I think we all can enjoy, found at
nmalfoy's journal by mosellegreen, and which I have shamelessly but lovingly stolen from her post:

In other news, I'm back from Maryland, and have been so for a while now. The Sicilians are safely back in Catania, and aside from the verbal brawls between my parents and my brother over his grades and his lack of collegiate ambition, the house is completely silent. Not much else to do but read, write, draw, read some more, take a walk in the Nature Conservancy, read some more there, write a little while I'm at it, draw, read, write, run on the treadmill, read, watch "1776" AGAIN, read, go to the Library, read some more, watch some DVD's, read, write, fret about where the hell I'm going to go after graduation, reread, draw, and read.
Life is glorious*.
*Aside from that fretting about where the hell I'm going to go after graduation. That's a bitch and a half, and is seriously damping the "read/write/draw" cycle I have going.

Date: 2007-01-10 12:36 am (UTC)Don't worry your pretty little head about life after graduation. Just think of 1776 and all the prominant female characters and the great things they went to do after the signing of the declaration of independence. I'm just yanking you all they did is die.
Seriously though, don't worry about it. You have a nice woman of leisure rhythm going. Read, walk in the garden, pass out from not eating, awake, read some more, walk, have that child you weren't expecting, die lonely and unfufilled.
