I desperately NEED this song. Does anyone know anything else about this group? Are the rest of their songs similar to this one? Is it worth springing for the album? Should I really go through the trouble of opening an Itunes account for this?
...oh, and the song's called "Terminally Ambivalent Over You", and the group's Real Tuesday Weld.
Dumbest. Band Name. EVER.
EDIT: My love and adoration for
zekkass, who burned it from the vid, and linked it in the comments!
EDIT PART 2: Showers of Praise fall upon
innocentsmith, who not only is familar with the song but LINKED THE ENTIRE ALBUM FOR ME in the comments!!! ODES! If I could write them, they would be singing your PRAISES!!!
*goes to enjoy brand spank new and wonderful music!*

Date: 2007-08-07 03:12 am (UTC)But Yes, I would LOVE to hear some more of this group--this song alone might actually tempt me into BUYING a cd. *gasp!*
Heh, I've nothing against them really. Just the first time I found out their group name, I had a wee little "...Real Tuesday Meld? WTF?" Don't suppose you know the reason behind that name? I'd forgive them for it if it had a really neat backstory. ^_^

Date: 2007-08-07 03:54 am (UTC)Most of the songs are kind of jazzy. Looking at it, I think the version in the video here is actually one from an earlier album by the same group - or, actually, by Stephen Coates, who's an English DJ who does albums under that name. Which is in reference to the actress Tuesday Weld. I don't know why. ^_^ But that's band names for you.
This album's called I, Lucifer, based - almost like a musical - on a novel of the same name. Tried to read it, actually, after I fell in love with the music, but it was horribly smug and pretentious and I was enjoying my own imaginings about the story too much, so.
My favorite songs (most of it):
Intro - It's a Dirty Job But Somebody's Got to Do It
Bathtime in Clerkenwell
The Ugly and the Beautiful
(Still) Terminally Ambivalent Over You
The Eternal Seduction of Eve
La Bete Et La Belle ("The Ugly and the Beautiful," acoustic and in French. Possibly my favorite track)
Easter Parade
The Life and Times of the Clerkenwell Kid
The Show Must Go On
Heaven Can't Wait
The Pearly Gates

Date: 2007-08-07 04:20 am (UTC)So much love for this music. It's MARVELOUS, exactly what I was hoping for. The only problem is that is seems that the link for "eternal seduction..." actually links to the imdb page for tuesday meld. ^_^;;; But I am definately going to curl up into bed and let my shiny new music keep my wide awake as I squee silently to mah-self, and concoct a novel of my own based on it. XD
Thank you!
