I'm gonna sing the Doom Song now!
Apr. 9th, 2009 10:47 amIt may be just because I'm Catholic and one can't help but fall into the narrative causality of Holy Week, but I really, really, REALLY wish this foreboding sense of DOOM would bugger off already. I didn't appreciate getting out of bed this morning certain that something TERRIBLE was going to happen today, and I CERTAINLY don't appreciate that feeling tailing me to work like a stray mad dog. I mean, today I already found myself in the middle of a fight between an old veteran of the Regiment stationed at my workplace and the security guard, and I hadn't even had my coffee yet!
So, to that metaphorical ax waiting to drop? Yea, SO NOT IN THE MOOD FOR THAT. So just take your sense of inevitable doom and kindly TAKE IT ELSEWHERE.
...And on that note, I was seriously torn between using my "Meine Angst!" icon, my "This must be Thursday" icon, and my "Christ on a cracker!" icon. TOO MANY CHOICES! :(

Date: 2009-04-09 05:35 pm (UTC)I hate the impending doom thing. Not that I especially have it today - though I might now, as I am extremely suggestible - but I know what you mean.
And now I must see if there are any Maundy Thursday services happening in town, just so I can wallow and then get past it.

Date: 2009-04-10 09:07 pm (UTC)This is why I pointedly ignore Easter.
Also (hugs) IT'S OKAY WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END. ZOMBIES. GET YOUR SHOTGUN.
