ONTD_STARTREK Meet Up Recap: RIDICULOUSLY OVER DUE.

This post is an INCREDIBLY long time in coming; mea culpa. But better late than never, right?

...Right?

So, I hosted the second ONTD_Startrek meet up at my place, and we had ourselves a TOS Marathon, which of COURSE required the TOS Drinking Game. Which required…well, booze. Lots of Booze. And I believe the bacchanal that ensured can be summed up in two words, which I feel I am required by LAW to inform ya'll about:

WOKKA SAKI.

1) NYC TOS Marathon: Part 1--wherein people show up, bring some GQ goodies, Romulan Ale is mixed, half of the drinking game rules are read, and we PARTY HARD!!!

2) NYC TOS Marathon: Part 2—wherein our cadets are tested! Winner gets the badge in the box, but can they beat the NO WIN SITUATION???

3) What happens when you have some GQMFs, a fan vid show, and the person who wrote the "I'm on a Ship" Parody? A MOTHERFUCKING SING ALONG, THAT'S WHAT!

I LOVE the meet up recap posts myself, they just make me so happy to see all the other GQMFs in our comm meet up and having a grand old Trek time.

not anyone of the people i have meet likes star trek, ONTD_Star Trek has made me quiet happy the past couple of weeks. How do you guys plan these things and when do you guys make days or something?
Is it like random people meet for the first time or do most people know each other outside of ONTD?

Yea! We're having another meet up this weekend actually, and you should totally come! We're all from ONTD_Startrek, and I certainly didn't know anyone before the first meetup (...well, ok there were a few people I knew from a Merlin Con I had gone to, but still, all fandom people). But we are an INCREDIBLY friendly folk that love new people.

We post announcements of meet up polls/information/planning at the ONTD_Startrek monday meetup posts, posted every monday at ONTD_ST. Just keep your eyes peeled for NYC announcements. I'm actually planning another meet up in August for a possible trip to the Rose Center for spacey things at the Museum of Natural History, and maybe a TOS/movie viewing.
