Come on, you know you want too...

I'm here in Italy, and I have a mail box, but I never, ever, ever get mail. Never. It's so rare it defeats the purpose of me having a mail box to begin with. So, since I have one, who wants to snail mail me? I'll send you a letter back, come one, you KNOW you want to keep a dying art alive!!

My mailing address here is:

Antonella Inserra
New York University
Villa Natalia
106 Via Bolognese
50139, FIRENZE, ITALY

So then, how 'bout some letters? *nudgenudge winkwink saynomore saynomore!!*

I miss you, Antonella! I'll send ye a card, with a very very long and heartfelt message inside, mayhaps. But how many stamps will I need for international mail?

*mucho hugs that defy the laws of the space-time continuum*

Isn't the centaur in the Harry Potter series named Firenze? If so, then his name is kind of Florence, which is quite girly.

I'm pretty damn sure it is, but don't quote me on it, I'm terrible when it comes to keeping exact track of things like that. For example, the name of the giantlikeWOH! spider in HP, is almost like the name of a region in spain, but not quite.

Yes, he is. Florence was a major center of astronomy and whatnot during the Renaissance, and the centaurs of the Potterverse are big on stargazing and astrology. Oftentimes when J.K. Rowling comes up with names for major characters, there's something behind the etymology.

Ex: Lupin's first name is Remus, after one of the twins who were raised by wolves and founded Rome.

Or how Sirius' first name is the same as the "Dog Star," the star that forms the nose of the Canis Major constellation.

Sybil Trelawey: The Sybil was a prophetess in the Aeneid. Her mother was Cassandra; no confusion there.

And so on and so forth. But you probably knew this already.

And Dumbledore is Olde English for "bumblebee."
