So,
cherrysher has assigned me my letter, and I was easier to do than I thought, but I wish it was a tad more interesting. Ah well.
10)Harry Potter: Not that cheap a pick, I swear. I do like the books, because of how effortless they feel and yet how they really AIN'T. The dialogue and whatnot also always give me the hope that there just might be hope for my own writings, and after reading them I get all inspired to get off my lazy writing ass and get to finishing something damnit!
9) Holmes: I am one of nature's Sherlockians. I love the books, the character, and playing the "Game". Sherlock Holmes and Watson makes me go "SQUEE!" There's always a place in my heart for that character.
8) House M.D.: Ok ok, so this character is pretty much Holmes 2.0, I know, but still! There's an entirely different layer of snark here, and that be what I love. I love how much the writers manage to make House likeable regardless of his total lack of social ANYTHING. Even when I hate the bastard, I like him. I like him when I hate him. It also doesn't help that the snark btw House and Wilson is pretty much the snark btw Brendan and myself, only not old and bitter and that fucked up yet.
But this segways into my next H, which is...
7)Hugh Laurie: Why do I love this man? Could it be the honking big blue eyes? The disgusting britishness of it all? How him and Stephen Fry are Soulmates with a capital "S" regardless of the fact that Hugh is oh!somarried, and how that makes me oh!sojealous? Never mind that in my mind, there is only one Bertie Wooster, and it be Hugh.
Oh, Hugh...*sigh*
Now all I need is "S" or "F" so I can fangirl Fry...
6)Howl's Moving Castle: Oh, the pretty of it all! And I really do like the character of Sophie. Oh god, I love Sophie! And Howl too, but mostly Sophie! And on that note...
5)Hayao Miyazaki: Screw Disney. Should he die, THIS man is the one that has to be cryogenically frozen until there's a cure for death.
4)Hercules, Disney's: It's sorta not fair how much JOY this movie has brought into my life by way of the character of Hades, and by way of the Hercules Drinking Game (TM). Quick, kid, Demeter's running!
3)Half Baked, the flavor: I love Ben and Jerry's. It's just B&J has no "H". So I improvised.
2) Hooch: a.k.a., booze, alcohol, the thing that is going to destroy my liver real soon. I'm afraid because of hooch, my week is only the lead up to Thirsty Thursdays.
AND my #1! "H":
HYMENAEUS!!!!!: the greatest minor god I have ever adopted and made up a character for EVER. Hymenaeus is the god of weddings (could his name be ANY more PERFECT?) who I rp'ed for
desperate_fans. Lindsay says that in her mind he's really just me with an obsession with floral arrangements and weddings, but I like to think he's a bit more than that. He's the greatest gay boyfriend EVER. Even though he's not real. Just don't tell him that. I don't know how the poor boy would take it.
and on that note...

Modern, Cool Nerd 60 % Nerd, 73% Geek, 39% Dork |
For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd. Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)! Congratulations!
